SIYABUSWA – On May 13, 2020 Mpumalanga Police have launched a manhunt following the discovery of a foetus in a dumping site at Siyabuswa in Dr JS Moroka Local Municipality.
The report indicates that on that fateful day, two employees from Dr JS Moroka Local Municipality who are responsible for waste management were busy with their routine duties at the dumping site when they noticed a plastic bag which was strangely wrapped. They then opened the bag and found a foetus inside and swiftly reported the matter to the police thereafter.
Police rushed to the scene and other role-players were summoned whereby a case of concealment of birth was opened. Preliminary investigation suggests that the foetus was possibly dumped on the evening of Tuesday, 12 May 2020. No arrest has been made in this regard.
